Founded in 1988 by Peter and Aletta Stas, Frederique Constant became the first independent Swiss manufacturer to deliver in-house calibers under $5,000. The brand makes everything from balance springs to escapements in-house in Plan-les-Ouates, just outside Geneva — the same district as Patek Philippe and Rolex.
