Most shaped watches put a round movement inside a shaped case and leave the gaps. Breguet built the Heritage the other way: the calibre 532 is itself curved, so the case can bow to the wrist without a flat block inside it, and the crystal is curved to match. The result is a watch about 35mm tall that sits flatter than its height suggests.

The dial is the Breguet vocabulary applied to a barrel: hand engine-turning on a rose engine, printed Roman numerals following the curve of the case, the blued hands with their hollow moon tips, and a small seconds subdial at six. The caseband is fluted like a Classique, and the crown sits in a notch on the right.

The dealer’s description is accurate: 3660BB, tonneau 18k white gold, 35 by 29.6mm, black crocodile, silver engine-turned dial, seconds at six, self-winding, sapphire, 30 metres. The Amazon rows underneath say digital display, hand wind, battery powered, bracelet and 100 metres, and every one of those is wrong; they are template values, and the listing photograph, though small, shows the watch the description describes.

Whether the watch is new with Breguet’s warranty is not stated in the rows we read; ask, and ask for the box and papers. Every figure here comes from the listing and from Breguet’s published description of the Heritage 3660, not from handling the watch.
