Breguet · Marine · Dual Time · 5857 · steel · bracelet · on Amazon
Two time zones on a hand-engraved dial, in steel.
Breguet’s Marine is the sport line, named for the appointment Abraham-Louis Breguet held as watchmaker to the French navy, with a fluted caseband, a crown guard and 100 metres of water resistance. The Dual Time puts a second time zone on a subdial at six with the date inside it and a day-and-night indicator at three, on a silvered dial engine-turned by hand with blue Roman numerals and blued Breguet hands. This one is the 42mm steel case on the steel bracelet; the same reference in rose gold on rubber has its own page here. Automatic calibre 517F. Sold on Amazon by an independent dealer.

The Marine, and where the second zone sits
Most dual-time watches put the second zone on a fourth hand. Breguet gives it a whole subdial at six, with its own hour and minute hands and the date in a window inside it, so the two times read as two small clocks rather than one dial with an extra pointer. The little subdial at three is a 24-hour indicator for the home zone, so you know whether it is morning or night there before you call.
Around that the dial is pure Breguet: silvered gold engine-turned on a rose engine, the wave pattern following the curve of the subdial, printed blue Roman numerals on a chapter ring, and the blued hands with hollow moon tips the company has drawn since the 1780s. The case is the Marine of the 2000s, with the fluted band and the crown tucked between two guards, on the bracelet rather than the rubber.

Reading the listing
The listing is a title and a model number, Marine Dual Time Stainless Steel Watch 5857ST/12/SZ0, with a one-line description. There are no spec rows, so there is nothing to contradict, and the photograph matches the reference: steel case, silvered guilloche dial, subdials at three and six, steel bracelet. The case size, calibre and water resistance here are Breguet’s published figures for the 5857, not the dealer’s.
Whether the watch is new with Breguet’s warranty is not stated in the rows we read; ask, and ask for the box and papers. Every figure here comes from the listing and from Breguet’s published description, not from handling the watch.

Buying it on Amazon
This is a regular Amazon listing from an independent dealer, Luxor Watches on the day we read it, with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit. The second button opens the live search for Marine Dual Times in case this one has sold.
Breguet Marines have resold for well under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.

- Second time zone with its own subdial and date, plus a day-night indicator

- Previous-generation Marine; the current 5517 line is slimmer
- Condition and warranty not stated; ask
- Listing has no specs; the title and photograph are all there is
- Busy dial for a Breguet
