Breguet · Type XXI · Transatlantique · flyback · titanium · bracelet · on Amazon
The French air force chronograph, in titanium.
Breguet built the Type XX for the French air force in the 1950s, a flyback chronograph a pilot could reset and restart with one press while timing a leg. The Type XXI is the larger civilian descendant: 42mm, a rotating bezel, big luminous numerals, and a central chronograph minute hand so elapsed minutes read like a second time. This one is the Transatlantique in titanium on the titanium bracelet, with a ruthenium grey dial, a date at six, a day-night indicator in the subdial at nine and the calibre 584 Q inside. Sold on Amazon by an independent dealer.

Type XX to Type XXI
The Type 20 was a French military specification of the 1950s for a pilot’s chronograph: black dial, luminous numerals, a rotating bezel and a flyback function, retour en vol, so the timer could be zeroed and restarted without stopping. Breguet supplied the air force and the navy and put a civilian Type XX on sale alongside. The Type XXI of 2004 enlarged the case to 42mm and moved the chronograph minutes to a central hand, which is the feature people buy it for: elapsed time reads at a glance without hunting for a subdial.
In titanium the watch is light for its size, the bracelet is titanium too, and the ruthenium dial is grey rather than black, so the cream luminous numerals sit on it more softly than on the rose gold and black version elsewhere on this page. The small dial at nine carries the running seconds and a day-night disc; the one at three counts chronograph hours.

Reading the listing
The dealer’s description is a complete spec list and it matches the photograph: titanium case 42mm by 15.2mm, titanium bracelet with a hidden clasp, rotating bezel, ruthenium dial, date at six, chronograph with central seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters and a day-night indicator, calibre 584 Q, 48 hours, sapphire, 100 metres. The Amazon rows carry weight and the model number only. Every figure on this page is the dealer’s or Breguet’s, not measured on this unit.
Whether the watch is new with Breguet’s warranty is not stated in the rows we read; ask, and ask for the box and papers. Every figure here comes from the listing and from Breguet’s published description, not from handling the watch.

Buying it on Amazon
This is a regular Amazon listing from an independent dealer, Luxor Watches on the day we read it, with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit. The second button opens the live search for Type XXIs in case this one has sold.
Breguet Type XXIs have resold for well under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.

Verdict
A titanium Type XXI on the bracelet, on Amazon from a dealer: Breguet’s flyback pilot chronograph at its lightest, and the least expensive way onto this page for a Breguet with a military story.
Strengths
- Flyback chronograph with a central minute hand; the most readable chronograph layout
- Titanium case and bracelet; light for a 42mm, 15mm chronograph
- 100 metres and a rotating bezel; a Breguet you can wear anywhere
- Amazon’s return window on a dealer listing
Trade-offs
- 15.2mm thick; sits tall
- Condition and warranty not stated; ask
- Ruthenium dial is grey, not the black of the classic Type XX
- Titanium scratches more visibly than steel
Buy it if
Someone who wants a real flyback chronograph with a lineage and would rather it weigh nothing.
Skip it if
You want a thin watch, a black dial, or the rose gold version.
