Breitling · Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 · blue · bracelet · on Amazon
The Navitimer. Slide rule, blue dial, Breitling’s own chronograph.
This is the Navitimer people picture: a 43mm steel case, the beaded bidirectional bezel turning a circular slide rule around the dial, a deep blue dial with three black counters, a date at 4:30 and the winged Breitling logo, on the seven-row Navitimer bracelet. Inside is the manufacture calibre 01, a column-wheel automatic chronograph with about 70 hours of reserve and a COSC certificate, shown through a sapphire caseback. Sold on Amazon by a marketplace dealer, listed under Breitling’s own price when we read it.

The slide rule, and the 01
The Navitimer of 1952 was built for pilots who did their own navigation: the bezel turns a circular slide rule against the dial so you can multiply, divide, convert units and work out fuel burn without a calculator. Almost nobody uses it for that now, but the beaded bezel and the two rings of tiny numbers are the most recognisable face in pilot’s watches, and they are why the Navitimer is the Breitling people search for.
The current B01 Chronograph 43 puts Breitling’s own calibre 01 inside: a column-wheel, vertical-clutch automatic chronograph with about 70 hours of reserve and a COSC certificate, visible through a sapphire caseback. The case is 43mm and 14.22mm thick with 22mm lugs, and the water resistance is 30 metres, which is the one place the Navitimer stays true to 1952: it is not a watch to swim in.

Reading the listing
The listing carries the full reference, AB0121211C1A1, in the title and the model row; the description repeats the title. The photograph shows the beaded bezel, the blue dial with black counters, the date and the seven-row bracelet. The case size, thickness, lug width, calibre 01, its COSC certification, the reserve, the 30 metres and the sapphire caseback are Breitling’s published figures for the reference.
The dealer is Luxor Watches, a marketplace dealer, and the rows we read do not state whether the watch is new with Breitling’s five-year warranty; ask, and ask for the box and card. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon
This is a regular Amazon listing from a marketplace seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit and the seller has not published a condition. The second button opens the live search for Navitimers in case this one has sold.
Navitimers have resold for under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.

Verdict
The current Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 in blue on the bracelet, Breitling’s slide-rule pilot’s chronograph with the manufacture calibre 01, on Amazon from a marketplace dealer under Breitling’s list price with the reference on the listing.
Strengths
- Manufacture calibre 01: column wheel, about 70 hours, COSC
- The classic Navitimer face in the most-searched blue
- Seven-row bracelet; sapphire caseback
- Listed under Breitling’s own price when read; full reference on the listing
Trade-offs
- Condition and warranty card not stated by the dealer; ask
- 30 metres; not for swimming
- 43mm and 14.22mm; a big watch
- The slide rule is a busy dial if you want a plain one
Buy it if
Someone who wants the pilot’s chronograph everyone recognises, with Breitling’s own movement inside.
Skip it if
You want a simpler dial, a swim-proof watch, or a stated condition.
FAQ
The bezel rotates an outer logarithmic scale against an inner one on the dial, so you can multiply, divide, convert units and calculate fuel consumption or ground speed the way pilots did before electronic calculators. It works; most owners never use it.
