This is the 1957-styled diver as a chronograph: a 44mm steel case with a black ceramic bezel, a blue dial with three black counters and a date at 4:30, luminous arrow hands, 200 metres of water resistance behind a screw-locked crown, on the black Aero Classic rubber strap with a push-button folding clasp. Inside is Breitling’s manufacture calibre 01, a column-wheel automatic chronograph with about 70 hours and a COSC certificate, shown through a sapphire caseback. The diver with the 01 inside
The Superocean Heritage is Breitling’s 1957 dive watch brought back: the slim bezel with a ceramic insert, the arrow hands, the mesh-pattern rubber strap that recalls the original Milanese bracelet. It is the Breitling that looks least like a pilot’s instrument and most like a diver you would wear with a shirt.
The chronograph version keeps the 200 metres and the screw-locked crown, which is rare for a chronograph with pushers, and puts the manufacture calibre 01 inside: column wheel, vertical clutch, about 70 hours, COSC, with a sapphire caseback to see it. At 44mm and 15.51mm it is the biggest watch on this page that is not a Ploprof, and the rubber strap keeps the weight down.
