A steel watch with crocodile skin.

Franck Muller founded his company in 1991 and built it on a shape: the Cintrée Curvex, a tonneau case curved along its length so it wraps the wrist, with a crystal and a movement holder curved to match. The numerals are the other signature, tall art-deco figures stretched to fill the barrel, the bottom ones so large they read as decoration first and digits second.

The Croco versions take that case and stamp a crocodile-scale pattern into every surface, the bezel, the flanks, the lugs and the dial itself, so the watch reads as one continuous hide from the crystal to the strap. Iron Croc is the steel version; Gold Croco is the same thing in gold. On the chronograph the two counters sit at three and nine and the date sits at six, all of it cut into the relief.
