Franck Muller sells the Vanguard chronograph in more colours than most brands sell watches, and this is one of the bright ones: white dial, every numeral outlined in red, red on the hands and the counters, a red crown, a red strap. It is the same watch as the black and rose gold chronographs on this page, in steel and with the volume up. On the wrist it reads as a white watch with a red strap; up close the red is in every detail.

The FM 7000 inside is Franck Muller’s decorated version of the Valjoux 7750, the automatic chronograph movement most of the industry has relied on for fifty years, with about 42 hours of reserve, a 30-minute counter at three and small seconds at nine. The case is the curved steel barrel every V 45 shares, about 44 by 54mm, and the strap is alligator-grain leather over rubber, integrated into the case.
