Most Panos read as two dials in one, the time at upper left and the seconds under it. The PanoMaticCentral was Glashütte Original’s answer for people who wanted the big date and the German finishing without the asymmetry: a conventional centred layout with the Panorama date, two discs on one plane so the digits sit flush in a single window, at four. The XL was the larger case, and in rose gold with a black dial it is the dressiest version.

Inside is one of Glashütte Original’s own automatics with the three-quarter plate, skeletonised rotor and hand-engraved balance cock the manufacture puts in all its Panos; which calibre this unit carries is not on the listing, and the reference number is not either. That is the question to ask before the price.

This is the thinnest listing on the page: a title, Rose Gold Pano Matic Central XL Mens Watch, and a photograph. The Amazon rows carry no model number and no specs, and there is no description. The photograph shows the rose gold case, the black dial with gold numerals, centred hands and the Panorama date at four, and a black alligator strap, which is what the title describes. We do not state a calibre, a reserve or a water rating because the dealer does not, and we do not guess.
