Girard-Perregaux launched the Laureato in 1975 with an octagonal bezel on a round case and a Clous de Paris dial, three years after the Royal Oak and one before the Nautilus. The third integrated sports watch
The 1970s produced three steel sports watches with integrated cases and textured dials: the Royal Oak in 1972, the Laureato in 1975, and the Nautilus in 1976. The first two are now unobtainable at retail and trade far above list. The Laureato never became a hype watch, which is why a dealer can list one on Amazon at all.
Girard-Perregaux revived the design in 2016 and 2017 and put its own movements inside. The GP03300 in this chronograph is an in-house automatic with a column wheel, the layout the brand has used since the 1990s.
Strap, not bracelet
The Amazon table lists both a bracelet and a blue band. The listing photograph shows a blue alligator strap with a folding clasp, and the BB4A suffix in the reference is Girard-Perregaux’s code for that strap; the bracelet version is a different reference. Read the strap from the photo.
