An art-deco rectangle you can see through.

Girard-Perregaux made a curved rectangular wristwatch in 1945 and brought the shape back in the 1990s as the Vintage 1945. The point of it is the double curve: the case and the crystal bow along the length of the wrist and across it, which is harder to machine than a flat rectangle, and the dauphine hands are bent by hand to follow the dial. The XXL is the larger case, still small by modern round-watch standards at about 36mm across.

This version drops the solid dial for a tinted sapphire plate, so the movement is the dial. The applied numerals, the railway minute track, the two-window large date and the moon phase all float over the bridges and wheels of the GP03300, and the blue tint keeps it readable where a raw skeleton would not be.

The title names the watch, Vintage 1945 XXL Blue Skeleton Moonphase 25882-11-421, and the photograph shows it: steel case, steel bracelet, blue see-through dial, large date, moon phase. The Amazon rows carry no specs, and the description is Girard-Perregaux’s own paragraph about the curved case and hand-curved hands, so there is nothing to contradict; the dimensions, calibre and reserve here are GP’s published figures for the reference.
