A 42mm stainless steel case, a battery-powered Japanese quartz movement, a mineral crystal, luminous hands and markers, and a woven nylon strap. The dial is cream with black Arabic numerals and a smaller inner ring of 24-hour numerals, which is the classic field-watch layout.

That layout is the reason to buy it. It is legible at a glance, in the way military field watches were designed to be, and it costs less than most people spend on lunch.

The Amazon listing gives two different water-resistance figures: 30m in the specification table and 5 ATM in the title. Those are not the same thing. We treat it as the lower one, which means rain and handwashing, not swimming.

A listing that disagrees with itself is a fair warning about the rest of the specification too. Nothing on this page has been checked against a manufacturer, because there is no manufacturer page to check.

This is the watch you buy while you decide what you actually want, or the one you wear where a better watch would get wrecked. It will do the job of telling the time legibly, and the nylon strap can be swapped for almost anything.
