What Omega put on the dial
The Speedmaster Moonphase arrived in 2016 as the complicated Speedmaster: a full chronograph, a date read by a hand on the subdial at nine, and a moon phase at six with a real photograph of the moon printed on the disc, footprint included if you look with a loupe. The subdial at three counts chronograph hours and minutes together, so the layout is three things in two circles plus the moon.
The 9904 is a Master Chronometer, which means the assembled watch, not just the movement, passed the METAS tests for accuracy, power reserve and resistance to a 15,000-gauss magnet. In steel with Sedna gold hardware, a brown ceramic bezel and a brown dial, it is the warm version; there are grey and blue ones on steel bracelets.
