Omega · Speedmaster Moonwatch · calibre 1863 · sapphire front and back · leather · on Amazon
The 1863 Moonwatch. Sapphire both sides, the decorated movement, the lowest price here.
This is the previous generation’s display-back Moonwatch: the 42mm asymmetric steel case, black dial and black tachymeter bezel, with a domed sapphire crystal in front and a sapphire caseback behind, and inside the calibre 1863, which is the 1861 with rhodium plating and finishing meant to be looked at. On a black alligator-pattern leather strap with a foldover clasp, at 91 grams. Omega no longer lists the reference. The seller says it ships in the large Moonwatch presentation box with a loupe, extra straps and a strap-changing tool, and it is the lowest Moonwatch price on this page. Sold on Amazon by a marketplace seller shipping from Japan.

The 1863, and the box
The Moonwatch is the Speedmaster Professional, the hand-wound chronograph NASA qualified for spaceflight in 1965 and Buzz Aldrin wore on the Moon in 1969. Its shape has not changed: a 42mm asymmetric steel case with twisted lyre lugs, a black tachymeter bezel, a black dial with three sub-dials, and a crown between two pushers. What Omega changes, every couple of decades, is what is inside and what is on top. The 1863 is the 1861 built to be seen: the same Lemania-based hand-wound chronograph with rhodium-plated bridges and finishing, fitted to the references with a sapphire caseback. This is one of them, on leather, with a domed sapphire crystal in front as well, so it is the previous generation’s equivalent of the sapphire sandwich watch on this page.
The seller says it comes in the big Moonwatch presentation box that Omega supplied in those years, with a loupe for the caseback, spare straps and the tool to change them, which is worth asking them to confirm because that box is part of the value. Omega no longer lists the reference; this is a seller’s stock, and it is the least expensive Moonwatch here.

Reading the listing
The listing carries the full reference, 311.33.42.30.01.002, in the title and the model row, and the seller’s description lists the black dial with its three sub-dials, the black tachymeter bezel, the 42mm steel case, the black leather strap and the presentation box with magnifying glass, additional straps and sizing tool. The sapphire crystal and caseback, thickness, lug figures, calibre 1863, reserve, 50 metres and the discontinued status are Omega’s published figures for the reference.
The seller is MS-TR JAPAN, a marketplace seller shipping from Japan, and the rows we read do not state whether the watch is new with Omega’s warranty or how old the stock is; ask, ask for the card and its date, and ask them to confirm the box contents. The 6 ratings average 3.6 stars; read them before buying. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon
This is a regular Amazon listing from a marketplace seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit and the seller has not published a condition. The second button opens the live search for sapphire-back Moonwatches on leather in case this one has sold.
Speedmasters have resold for under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
