The Dark Side of the Moon of 2013 was the first all-ceramic Speedmaster; the Vintage Black of 2015 took the same 44.25mm black ceramic case and gave it beige Super-LumiNova on the markers and hands, the colour old tritium turns, and a distressed brown leather strap. It is a modern watch dressed as a survivor, and whether that is charming or silly is the whole question. Underneath it is the calibre 9300, Omega’s column-wheel co-axial chronograph with 60 hours and a COSC certificate, the same as the Grey Side of the Moon on this page.

Omega’s ceramic Speedmasters take the Moonwatch shape, enlarge it to 44.25mm and make the whole case, bezel, pushers and crown from one colour of zirconium oxide ceramic, so nothing scratches and the watch weighs about 100 grams on a strap. Inside is a co-axial automatic chronograph rather than the hand-wound Moonwatch calibre, with the two counters of the 9300 family: hours and minutes together at three, small seconds at nine. Omega has dropped the reference, so what the dealer has is old stock or a pre-owned unit; the listing does not say which, and it quotes nine to ten days to ship, which usually means the watch is sourced on order.
