Rolex · Lady-Datejust · 6927 · 18k yellow gold · bark President · pre-owned on Amazon
The gold bark President. Solid 18k, linen dial, about 1980.
This is the solid gold Lady-Datejust of the late 1970s: reference 6927, a 26mm 18k yellow gold Oyster case with the bark-finish bezel, a champagne linen dial with baton markers, the date under its Cyclops at three, on the solid gold President bracelet with bark-textured centre links and the concealed clasp, with a 635xxxx serial that WGACA dates to about 1980. Inside is Rolex’s calibre 2030, the automatic chronometer with a quickset date that the 69xx series used. WGACA says sapphire crystal; Rolex fitted the 6927 with acrylic, so ask whether it was replaced. Graded Excellent with light scratching. Pre-owned through a Luxury Stores reseller.

Bark, linen, and the crystal
The Lady-Datejust is the Datejust at 26mm, the size Rolex made for women from the 1950s until it moved the line to 28mm in 2015. It is the same watch in miniature: an Oyster case with a screw-down crown, an automatic chronometer movement, the date under its Cyclops lens at three, a fluted or engine-turned bezel, and a Jubilee or Oyster bracelet. Because Rolex made them for six decades in every dial and metal, the pre-owned market is deep and this is where the money goes when people search for a women’s Rolex.
Bark finish is the textured gold Rolex used on its 1970s and 1980s Presidents: the bezel and the centre links of the bracelet are engraved with a fine irregular grain like tree bark, so the gold reads matte and warm instead of mirror-bright. Paired with a linen dial, a fine crosshatch texture under the champagne, it is the most 1970s Rolex look there is. The 6927 is the Lady-Datejust of that era with the calibre 2030, a quickset automatic chronometer, and it came with an acrylic crystal; WGACA’s description says sapphire, which would be a later replacement, and that is worth asking about.

Reading the listing
WGACA gives the reference as 6927, the size as 26mm, the case and bezel as bark finish, the movement as self-winding with quickset date, the crystal as sapphire, the dial as linen with index markers, the bracelet as a gold bark President with a hidden clasp, the serial as 635xxxx and the condition as Excellent with light scratching throughout. It does not state box or papers. The 18k yellow gold and the linen dial are from the title and the photograph; the calibre 2030 and the factory acrylic crystal are Rolex’s spec for the 6927.
WGACA authenticates in-house and is not a Rolex authorised dealer, and Amazon adds its 30-day return window. Ask for the serial, whether box or papers come with it, and when it was last serviced. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon
This unit is sold by What Goes Around Comes Around (WGACA) through Amazon Luxury Stores, authenticated by the seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window on top; it is one piece, and when it sells the listing goes away, so the second button opens the live search for 26mm Lady-Datejusts.
Steel and two-tone Lady-Datejusts have resold close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
