Rolex · Lady-Datejust 26 · two-tone · diamond dial · box and card · pre-owned on Amazon

The two-tone diamond Lady-Datejust, with box and a dated card.

This is the women’s Rolex most people picture: a 26mm steel Oyster case with the fluted 18k yellow gold bezel and gold crown, a champagne dial with diamond hour markers, the date under its Cyclops at three, on the two-tone Jubilee bracelet, sized to about a 5.5 inch wrist. Rebag says it comes with the box and a dated warranty card, which is why it costs more than the two-tone unit without them. Rebag gives no reference; the copy names the two catalogue references it matches and says to confirm from the card. Graded Very Good. Pre-owned through a Luxury Stores reseller.

Diamonds, gold, and a dated card

The Lady-Datejust is the Datejust at 26mm, the size Rolex made for women from the 1950s until it moved the line to 28mm in 2015. It is the same watch in miniature: an Oyster case with a screw-down crown, an automatic chronometer movement, the date under its Cyclops lens at three, a fluted or engine-turned bezel, and a Jubilee or Oyster bracelet. Because Rolex made them for six decades in every dial and metal, the pre-owned market is deep and this is where the money goes when people search for a women’s Rolex.

Rolex set ten diamonds into the champagne dial of the two-tone Lady-Datejust as a factory option, and on a 26mm dial they are most of what you see. This unit adds the two things that decide a pre-owned Rolex price: the box and a dated warranty card, which fixes the year and the original sale. Rebag does not give a reference; a two-tone 26mm Lady-Datejust with a fluted bezel on a Jubilee is the 179173 in the 2000s and the 79173 in the 1990s, and the card will say which.

Reading the listing

Rebag gives the case at 26mm and 11mm high, the band at 13mm, a wrist size of about 5.5 inches, the band as steel with 18k yellow gold and the case as steel, the dial colour as gold, an automatic movement with date and a screw-down crown, the condition as Very Good with scratches and minor wear on the case and band, and a box and dated warranty card as included. It gives no reference. The fluted gold bezel, diamond markers and Jubilee bracelet are from the photograph; the chronometer rating, reserve and 100 metres are Rolex’s published figures.

Rebag authenticates in-house and is not a Rolex authorised dealer, and Amazon adds its 30-day return window. Ask for the reference and the date on the card, and when it was last serviced. The bracelet is sized to a small wrist; ask whether the removed links come with it. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon

This unit is sold by Rebag through Amazon Luxury Stores, authenticated by the seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window on top; it is one piece, and when it sells the listing goes away, so the second button opens the live search for 26mm Lady-Datejusts.

Steel and two-tone Lady-Datejusts have resold close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.

FAQ

Rebag does not say. A two-tone 26mm Lady-Datejust with a fluted bezel on a Jubilee is 179173 in Rolex’s 2000s catalogue and 79173 in the 1990s; the dated warranty card that comes with it will carry the reference. Ask to see it.
