Rolex · Datejust 31 · 68278 · pre-owned on Amazon
The gold Datejust between the sizes.
Rolex made the Datejust in a 31mm mid-size for decades, and in solid 18k yellow gold it is the version that wears as jewellery: white dial with gold Roman numerals, the date at three under the Cyclops, a fluted bezel and a gold bracelet with a hidden clasp. Calibre 2135 inside, automatic with a quickset date. This unit comes with its box. Pre-owned through a Luxury Stores reseller, graded Excellent.

The mid-size
Between the 36mm men’s Datejust and the 26mm ladies’ model Rolex made a 31mm version for most of the twentieth century, reference 68278 in yellow gold with the fluted bezel. It has the same layout as the full-size watch, the same Cyclops over the date, and calibre 2135, the smaller automatic with a quickset date that Rolex used across its mid-size and ladies’ lines.
Thirty-one millimetres is the size that fits a smaller wrist without looking like a ladies’ watch, and in solid gold it is the Datejust most often bought as a gift. The white Roman dial is the classic one.

Jubilee or President
The listing describes a Jubilee bracelet; the photographs show the President bracelet with its semi-circular links, and the hidden crown clasp the seller mentions belongs to the President. Read the bracelet from the photo. The box is included; papers are not mentioned, so assume there are none.
Every figure here comes from the listing and from Rolex’s published specification for the reference, not from handling the watch.

Buying it pre-owned on Amazon
Rolex is never new on Amazon. This unit is sold by What Goes Around Comes Around through Amazon Luxury Stores, authenticated by the seller with Amazon’s return window on top; it is one piece, and when it sells the listing goes away, so the second button opens the live search for Datejusts.
A gold Datejust has historically resold for close to what it cost, sometimes more, sometimes less. That is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
