The Batman: two time zones on the bezel, a third on the hand.

The GMT-Master was built for Pan Am crews in 1955: an extra hand that goes round once a day, pointing at a 24-hour bezel, so a pilot could keep home time on the hand while the regular hands showed local. The GMT-Master II of the 1980s let the hour hand jump independently, so you set local time in one-hour steps without stopping the watch.

The two-colour bezel is the part that makes it work at a glance: the blue half is roughly daytime hours at home, the black half night. Turn the bezel and the 24-hour hand reads a third zone against the new position.

Rebag does not give a reference. The first Batman, the 116710BLNR, ran from 2013 to 2019 on the Oyster bracelet with the calibre 3186 and about 48 hours of reserve. Its replacement, the 126710BLNR, launched in 2019 on the Jubilee bracelet with the calibre 3285 and about 70 hours, and from 2021 Rolex also sold it on the Oyster. Both are steel, 40mm, black dial, blue-and-black ceramic; the 126710 has slightly slimmer lugs and its clasp cover is longer. Ask the seller for the reference or the warranty card; the price is much the same, the movement is not.

The condition line says Excellent with light scratches and wear to case and bracelet, which is a worn watch that has not been heavily polished. Every figure here comes from the listing and from Rolex’s published description of the GMT-Master II, not from handling the watch.
