Illustrative render — hero view of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 126000 candy pink dial

Rolex · Oyster Perpetual 36 · 126000 · candy pink · pre-owned on Amazon

The pink Rolex, from the three years it was made.

In 2020 Rolex gave the plainest watch it makes, the steel Oyster Perpetual, a set of bright lacquer dials, and candy pink was the one that surprised people most: a flat, saturated pink under a smooth steel bezel with steel batons and no date. Rolex dropped it at 36mm in 2023. Calibre 3230, about 70 hours of reserve, on the Oyster bracelet. Pre-owned through a Luxury Stores reseller, graded Excellent. The listing calls it a Datejust with a date; it is neither, and the copy below says so.

The 2020 colour dials

For most of its life the Oyster Perpetual was the Rolex you bought when you wanted the case and the movement without any of the fuss: no date, no fluted bezel, silver or black dial. In 2020 Rolex put five lacquer colours on it, turquoise, yellow, coral red, green and candy pink, and the plain watch became the hardest Rolex to buy for three years.

The pink is the softest of the five: a pale candy shade that reads pastel in daylight and warmer under lamps, with steel batons and steel hands so nothing competes with the colour. Rolex discontinued it at 36mm in 2023, keeping it only at 31 and 28, which is why a 36 now costs more than it did new.

Reading the listing

The seller’s description is the Datejust template: it says Datejust, quickset date and Cyclops. None of that applies. The 126000 is an Oyster Perpetual, it has no date, and the photograph shows a clean dial with no window. The title and the photograph are right; the description is wrong. The serial prefix 69C is a modern random serial, so it does not date the watch, but the reference and the dial place it in 2020 to 2023.

Condition is Excellent with light scratching to the caseback, and the bracelet is sized to about 9 inches, so a jeweller will need to remove links for most wrists. Box and papers are not mentioned; ask. Every figure here comes from the listing and from Rolex’s published description of the 126000, not from handling the watch.

Buying it pre-owned on Amazon

Rolex is pre-owned only on Amazon. This unit is sold by What Goes Around Comes Around through Amazon Luxury Stores, authenticated by the seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window on top; it is one piece, and when it sells the listing goes away, so the second button opens the live search for pink Oyster Perpetuals.

The 2020 colour dials have resold above their boutique prices since they launched, and discontinued colours move more than plain ones in both directions; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.

Verdict

A worn, Excellent-graded candy pink Oyster Perpetual 36, pre-owned on Amazon: the discontinued pink Rolex in the size Rolex no longer makes it.

Strengths

  • Candy pink lacquer dial, made at 36mm for three years only
  • Calibre 3230 with about 70 hours of reserve, no date to set
  • 36mm steel Oyster case that suits most wrists
  • Amazon’s return window on top of the seller’s authentication

Trade-offs

  • Listing description is the wrong template; read the photograph
  • Priced above the boutique price, as every colour dial is
  • Box and papers not mentioned
  • One unit; when it sells, it is gone

Buy it if

Someone who wants the pink Rolex at 36mm rather than the 31 the boutique can still order, and would rather have it now than wait.

Skip it if

You want a date, a quieter dial, or you would rather pay boutique money for a boutique watch.

FAQ

No. The Oyster Perpetual is time only; the listing’s mention of a Datejust with a quickset date and Cyclops is a template error, and the photograph shows no date window.
