In 2023 Rolex took the turquoise Oyster Perpetual, the one the trade called the Tiffany dial, and scattered it with bubbles in the colours of its other lacquer dials: coral red, yellow, green, candy pink, turquoise. Steel, 36mm, smooth bezel, no date, on the Oyster bracelet, with the calibre 3230 and about 70 hours of reserve. It is the steel Rolex that was hardest to buy from a boutique, and it is here pre-owned through a Luxury Stores reseller, graded Excellent.

Why this dial exists
The Oyster Perpetual is the plainest Rolex: a steel Oyster case, a smooth bezel, no date, the movement Rolex puts in everything. In 2020 Rolex gave it a set of bright lacquer dials, and the turquoise one became the most requested steel Rolex in the world almost overnight, partly because it looked like the Tiffany-stamped dials of the 1950s and partly because nobody could get one.
The Celebration dial of 2023 is Rolex’s joke about that: the turquoise dial, with bubbles in all five of the discontinued colours floating up from six o’clock. It was made for one year in 31, 36 and 41mm. This is the 36, the size Rolex photographed it in.
Reading the listing
The seller’s description mentions a quickset date and a Cyclops, which is the text they use for Datejusts; the Oyster Perpetual has no date, and the photograph shows a clean dial with no window. Treat that line as a template error and read the photograph. The condition line is specific: Excellent, with minor scratching to the hardware and light tarnishing and wear to the caseback, which for a watch from 2023 means it was worn.
