Tissot · Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80
Three hundred metres, Swiss made, eighty hours.
The Seastar 1000 is Tissot’s serious diver: a 300m rating, a ceramic bezel insert, sapphire, and the same Powermatic 80 automatic as the PRX. Few Swiss-made divers at this price carry all three.

What 300m buys
Most affordable divers are rated to 200m. The Seastar 1000 is rated to 300m, or 30 bar, with a screw-down crown and caseback. That is recreational scuba territory with room to spare, and it is the number in the name.
The bezel is unidirectional with a ceramic insert, which does not fade or scratch the way painted aluminium does. Over the dial is sapphire with an anti-reflective coating on the underside. Super-LumiNova covers the hands and markers.

The PRX engine
Inside is the Powermatic 80, caliber 80.111, the same Swiss automatic Tissot fits to the PRX. It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour on 23 jewels with an 80-hour reserve. Take it off Friday and it is running Monday.
The bracelet is steel with a folding clasp, a safety lock and a diver extension, on quick-release bars. These are the published figures; nothing has been timed or measured for this page.

Which colour, which size
Tissot sells the Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 in several dial and bezel colours under adjacent references. The reference in our catalogue is one every source lists as blue dial with a blue ceramic bezel. The photograph on this page shows a black dial and black bezel, a different colourway.
The case size is also reported inconsistently between our catalogue and independent spec sheets, so this page does not print a diameter. Confirm dial colour and size on the listing before you buy. The 300m rating, the ceramic bezel and the Powermatic 80 are common to all of them.
