Tudor’s Black Bay 41 is the three-hand, fixed-bezel version of the Black Bay: same case shape and snowflake hand as the dive watch, but a smooth bezel, no rotating insert and no date, which makes it the plainest and most wearable Black Bay. The S&G, for steel and gold, takes that watch and puts yellow gold where you see it: the bezel and the crown are steel capped with yellow gold, the first centre links of the bracelet are solid yellow gold and the rest are steel with a gold cap, and the markers and hands are edged in gold against the black dial.

Tudor is open about the construction, and the copy here follows Tudor: the gold on the bezel is a 0.3mm cap, on the crown 0.1mm, on most of the bracelet links 0.2mm. It is real yellow gold and it looks like solid gold on the wrist, but it is not a solid gold bezel, and that is part of why the S&G costs what it does rather than what a solid gold Rolex costs.

The listing carries the full reference, M79683-0001, in the title and the model row, and the seller’s description lists the black dial, gold-tone hands, steel case, steel and yellow gold band, automatic movement, 100 metres, fixed bezel, sapphire crystal, solid caseback, folding clasp and a 41mm case. The photograph shows the snowflake hand, no date and the five-link bracelet. The calibre, its COSC certification, the 70-hour reserve, the 12.2mm thickness, the 22mm lugs and the gold caps are Tudor’s published figures for the reference, which Tudor now lists as Black Bay One 41 S&G.
