Tudor · Black Bay 58 GMT · 39mm · rubber strap · on Amazon

The Black Bay 58 GMT on rubber. Lighter, for the plane.

This is the same Black Bay 58 GMT on Tudor’s rubber strap: 39mm steel, 12.8mm thick, a bidirectional 24-hour bezel in black and burgundy, a black domed dial with gilt markers, snowflake hands and a gilt 24-hour hand, the date at three, on a black rubber strap with the T-fit clasp. Inside is the manufacture MT5450-U, COSC and METAS certified, with an integrated GMT and about 65 hours of reserve; 200 metres. The strap version costs a little more than the bracelet on Amazon when we read it, which is unusual; both are listed under Tudor’s price, from a marketplace seller.

Rubber with a proper clasp

Tudor’s rubber strap is not an afterthought: it is moulded to the case, comes with the same T-fit folding clasp as the bracelet, so it has the 8mm of tool-free adjustment and the security of a folding buckle, and it takes about 60 grams off the watch. For a GMT that is going through airports and onto a beach, that is the point. The watch head is identical to the bracelet version: 39mm, the black and burgundy bezel, the gilt dial and the MT5450-U Master Chronometer.

If you want both looks, the bracelet version on this page is the cheaper way in when we read it, and a 20mm rubber strap can be added later; Tudor’s own strap with the T-fit clasp is what this listing includes.

Reading the listing

The listing carries the reference M7939G1A0NRU-0002 in the model row and calls it a 39mm automatic with 200 metres, a sapphire crystal and a rubber band, with a black bezel with burgundy accents. The photograph shows the bezel, gilt dial, GMT hand, date and rubber strap. The thickness, lug width, calibre, both certifications, the reserve and the T-fit clasp are Tudor’s published figures for the reference.

The seller is Watchsavings, a marketplace seller. Ask the seller whether it is new with Tudor’s five-year guarantee card, and for the box; the rows we read do not say. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon

This is a regular Amazon listing from a marketplace seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit and the seller has not published a condition. The second button opens the live search for Black Bay GMTs in case this one has sold.

Black Bay 58 GMTs have resold for under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
