Illustrative render — hero view of the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight 39mm M79030B-0001 (steel, navy blue bezel and dial, riveted steel bracelet)

Tudor · Black Bay Fifty-Eight · 39mm · navy blue · on Amazon

The Black Bay 58 in navy. The 39mm Tudor that fits everyone.

The Black Bay Fifty-Eight is the Black Bay shrunk to 39mm and 11.9mm, the size of Tudor’s 1958 diver, and it is the reference that turned the Black Bay from a good watch into the one everybody recommends. This is the 2020 Navy Blue: a navy aluminium bezel with silver numerals, a navy domed dial with silver-rimmed lumed markers, the snowflake hand, no date, a big screw-down crown and the riveted steel bracelet. Inside is Tudor’s manufacture MT5402, a COSC chronometer with about 70 hours of reserve, and the case is rated to 200 metres. Tudor renewed the 58 line in 2025 and no longer lists this reference, which makes this dealer stock of the watch as it was. Sold on Amazon by a marketplace seller shipping from Japan.

Why the 58 matters

When Tudor launched the Black Bay Fifty-Eight in 2018 it fixed the one complaint about the Black Bay: at 41mm and nearly 15mm thick, the original wore big. The 58 is 39mm and under 12mm, on a bracelet with the rivet heads of the 1950s, and it sits on a 6.5-inch wrist as well as on an 8-inch one. The Navy Blue of 2020 added the second colour, blue bezel and blue dial with silver rather than gilt accents, and it sold out for a year.

The MT5402 inside is Tudor’s own three-hand movement, no date, with a silicon balance spring, a COSC certificate and about 70 hours of reserve. Tudor renewed the 58 line in 2025 with new references and movements; this listing is the earlier watch, the one that built the reputation.

Reading the listing

The listing carries the reference, M79030b-0001, in the title and the model row, and calls it an automatic chronometer with a blue dial. The photograph shows the navy bezel and dial, the silver-rimmed markers, the snowflake hand, no date and the riveted bracelet. The case size, thickness, lug width, calibre, COSC certification, reserve and 200 metres are Tudor’s published figures for the reference; Tudor’s site now redirects it to the Black Bay 58 collection page, so the copy calls it discontinued.

The seller is MS-TR JAPAN, a marketplace seller shipping from Japan, and the rows we read do not state whether the watch is new with Tudor’s five-year guarantee; ask, and ask for the box and card and the guarantee date. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon

This is a regular Amazon listing from a marketplace seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit and the seller has not published a condition. The second button opens the live search for blue Black Bay 58s in case this one has sold.

Black Bays have resold for under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
