Tudor Pelagos 39 M25407N-0001 (grade 2 titanium, black ceramic bezel, black dial, titanium bracelet) — reference photograph

Tudor · Pelagos 39 · titanium · on Amazon

The Pelagos 39. The slim titanium Tudor.

This is the Pelagos scaled to a normal wrist: 39mm in grade 2 titanium with a satin finish, 11.8mm thick, a titanium bezel with a sunray ceramic insert and luminous graduations, a black sunray dial with monobloc luminous markers and the snowflake hands, no date, 200 metres, on the titanium bracelet with the T-fit clasp, with a rubber strap in the box. Inside is Tudor’s manufacture MT5400, a COSC chronometer with about 70 hours of reserve. The seller’s rows say 600 metres, which is not Tudor’s figure; the Pelagos 39 is rated 200. Listed under Tudor’s own price when we read it, from a marketplace seller.

What the 39 gives up, and keeps

The 42mm Pelagos is a 500-metre saturation diver with a helium valve and a self-adjusting clasp; the Pelagos 39 keeps the titanium, the ceramic bezel and the snowflake dial but drops to 200 metres, loses the helium valve and the spring-loaded clasp, and gets thinner: 11.8mm against 14.3. It also loses the date. What you get is the lightest, slimmest Tudor diver, in a size that fits most wrists, with the MT5400 and 70 hours.

The rows on Amazon say 600 metres; Tudor says 200, and the copy goes with Tudor.

Reading the listing

The listing carries the reference M25407N-0001 in the model row and calls it a 39mm automatic with a titanium band, a sapphire crystal, a black dial and bezel and a 21mm band width; its 600 metres row is wrong for the reference. The photograph shows the satin titanium case and bracelet, the ceramic bezel and the monobloc-marker dial. The thickness, lug width, calibre, COSC certification, reserve, 200 metres and the rubber strap in the box are Tudor’s published figures for the reference.

The seller is MS-TR JAPAN, a marketplace seller. Ask the seller whether it is new with Tudor’s five-year guarantee card, and for the box; the rows we read do not say. Nothing here was measured on the watch.

Buying it on Amazon

This is a regular Amazon listing from a marketplace seller with Amazon’s 30-day return window; it is not a Luxury Stores pre-owned unit and the seller has not published a condition. The second button opens the live search for Pelagos divers in case this one has sold.

Pelagos 39s have resold for under new and close to what pre-owned buyers paid, sometimes more, sometimes less; that is a pattern, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
