Orient has produced its own in-house movements since 1951 — a rarity among brands at any price, and almost unheard of below $500. Now a subsidiary of the Seiko Epson Corporation, Orient retains its own design studio and movement manufacture. The Bambino dress watch line has become the default recommendation for "first real watch" in every major enthusiast community.
