Heritage

The Japanese house that disrupted Swiss watchmaking — and still does.

Founded by Kintarō Hattori, Seiko produced Japan's first wristwatch in 1913 and the world's first quartz watch in 1969 — triggering the quartz crisis. The Prospex dive collection traces directly to the 1965 62MAS, the first Japanese dive watch. The Presage and Alpinist lines showcase Japan's mastery of dial craftsmanship.

House Style

Vertically integrated manufacture, dial craft (Zaratsu polish, enamel, urushi), engineering depth.
